Rijk studied horticulture at UMASS Amherst with a focus in fruit and vegetable production and later mycology in graduate school at UW LaCrosse. He has been passionate about growing the highest quality foods for people who care about it. Working through the years in various avenues of horticulture, from nursery work to public gardening, Rijk has gained vast knowledge and experience to grow an eclectic selection of ornamental, annual and perennial plants.
MAURA DESFOSSES
Maura graduated from Providence College with a degree in Business Management. She began her career at an investment firm in Boston and gained invaluable business experience over the past 18 years. Maura’s knowledge and experience have given her the skills to help oversee the business side of the farm. Maura is also passionate about growing high quality, organic foods for the surrounding community and is excited to partner with Rijk on their forever farm.
